It's Teaser Time!!!!

Welcome to the August Release Day 1 of Teasers! I am SO excited to be able to play along and just LOOK at what I get to play with... YES!!! A BRAND NEW Stephanie Fizer set... it's called "How Your Garden Grows" OK, so can you say CA-UTE? YEP!!! I thought you could!!!! :)

This Mary Mary Quite Contrary (tee hee) Image was stamped onto a piece of One Sheet Wonder paper, she was masked off and then the stems for the flowers were stamped using Memento Cottage Ivy. I used the 3 different sizes of blooms and the Rolled Flower Dienamic for a bit of variety and texture. The centers of all 5 flowers have a bit o blingage in them using glitter. Mary's dress was colored with Copic Markers and then the clear glitter pen was added and then you HAVE to use this tip... Jen Del Muro has posted this numerous times and I finally got around to doing it the correct way... Rubbing Alcohol in your H2O pen (aqua brush). it totally helps smear that stuff around and keeps it from having lines... do you SEE THAT SHINE??? YEP!!! Rubbing Alcohol is the trick... Thanks Jen! :)

I mounted my image piece onto MFT GumDrop Green paper and then all of that was mounted onto the new Berrylicious paper from MFT. A big ole bow created using some Crinkly ribbon from my Buddy Michele (delfinaus on SCS) and it's MARVELOUS!!!!! :)

For my next card I used the new Clearly Sentimental set ... Clearly Sentimental about Gardens. It has SO many beautiful sentiments and they fit many occasions whether a card for a garnedning friend or just a "just because" kinda card...it'll be a frequent grabber set for me! ;)

I have had this pack of DCWV Fall Colors white core paper for several years, I am a Jewel Tone LOVER and haven't been able to part with it in all of my downsizing and boy am I glad I didn't... I saw this ribbon in a new found LSS (save that story for another time ) and KNEW I had to use it for a sneeky peek for the gardening set... I LOVE it when that happens... I used the Framed Greetings Die (currently sold out)and the stamp set that comes with it (it took me a couple tries to line it up then I followed Jody's tip ;)). I used a SU Punch for the slits to run the ribbon through, mounted it on the CS that I cuddlebugged and sanded. I then mounted that onto another piece of the DCWV paper distressed the edges ever so slightly and mounted all of that onto some PTI White. I used Copper Viva Pearl Pens for my accents in the corner and DONE!

Well Whatcha' think? Pretty darn amazing already huh? Yea, well just wait til you see what the rest of the MFT Daring Diva's have in store for us, go to KIMS BLOG and find out!!!!

MFT VIP BLOG HOP-AUGUST

Well, here is the day I've been waiting for....the first Sneek peek of the new sets and I GET TO PLAY!!!! :) I am SO excited for you all to see what is coming... AACK! Kim makes us drool every month and this one is NO exception... the First peek I have to show you is "Who's That Harvest Girl"

I stamped my image onto MFT Perfect Paper Panels, colored her with Copics and mounted her onto some black CS. I paper pieced the basket with some weathered wood paper I have in my stash. I used some DP from PinkPaislee and mounted it on to black CS and then took some of the ruffly ribbon MFT offers and stuck that on behind the DP panel. That ruffly ribbon is SO yummy!!!! Total texture and color all in one! Three (3) MFT Summer Time buttons were used up on the corner to balance out the card and finished! :) :) :) That statement gets THREE SMILIES as I kept redoing it and redoing it and redoing it.... I have to get it JUST right... I mean, HELLLOOOOO.... I'm Guest DT'ing for MFT here folks, just any ole card will NOT DO!!!!!!! )


The set comes with 4 different choices to "harvest" for your card. :) CA-YUTE!!! It also has 8 different sentiments to chose from, I tell ya this set is PACKED with choices. Normally I don't like choices as it's SO hard to choose! LOL But oh boy! I LOVE the dilemna this set gives you!!! :)

I LOVE Sketches, have I mentioned that lately???? LOL

This week I got a chance to play in the MOJO Weekly sketch contest. I just got this YUMMY Paper and ribbon in the mail today. PTI Plum Pudding, Plum Pudding Text Lines DP and Plum Pudding 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon. I paired it with my FAVE Stamp company MFT. I used Annie La Pointe's Sow Seeds of Love stamp set. I added some MFT Perfect Pearls and then added a bit of Zing using Shimmerz on the violet in Royal Purple and Twinkling H2O's in Sunburst in the center and on the corner doo dads. All the height and dimension are from Jody's Dimensionals.

SCREAMING AND HOPPING!!!!

OH! MY! GOSH!!!!! I am SO totally excited... see that card down there.... below this post??? WELL.... IT WAS CHOSEN AS THE WINNER FOR THE MFT GUEST DT CHALLENGE !!!!!

I am SO totally thrilled,. BEYOND words....

You see I have been a stalker of MFT for over 3 years now, I have only in the last ONE year realised that my cards were VERY LACKING... (LOL) SO... I started stalking, trying, asking, learning, CRYING, starting over, and DARN NEAR GIVING UP!!!!! I am a perfectionist and expect SO much of myself AT FIRST TRY!!!!!

MFT is MY FAVE COMPANY OF ALL STAMP COMPANIES!!!!! They have WONDERFUL Products but what keeps me HAPPY and STAYING THERE??? The People.... From the VERY FIRST Release Party that I attended I think I had under 100 posts on SCS, I was INSTANTLY & WARMLY WELCOMED!!!!! The DT Crew (some are no longer there) and Kim were SO nice, and FUN!!!! And lemme tell you, WE ALL NEED FUN in our lives!!!!!

SO... I now have a GINORMOUS challenge ahead of me... to make MFT PROUD of me for a WHOLE MONTH while showing off the NEW GOODIES that will be hitting the site in the VERY NEAR FUTURE... it comes SO FAST!!!!! **YIKES** I know that my MFT PEEPS support me and I just don't want anyone thinking that the goodies comin out are NASTY due to MY CREATIONS!!!! **eek**

I have 2 goals in life:

1) to raise HAPPY & HEALTHY kiddos into Loving responsible adults
&
2) Become a part of the MFT DT....

I have MUCH to do to prepare for THAT task so off I go.... Gots some more stalking to do!!! **wink wink**

The Beauty of Freedom

I have a LOT to say in this post about my card but I just want you to appreciate the blood sweat and tears that went into making this card! **wink wink**

Melody and Megan are hostessing the MFT Guest DT Challenge and with Canada Day and America's Independence this month we were to use Red/White/Blue/Kraft... something Americana-ey...

SO... I chose Amanda Baird's "Dance The Night Away" image from MFT. I dont know what it is but I LOVE this stamp... she's SO free and having FUN....
Pure Poppy, White and SU Blue were used as my ruffles after having run them through with the Jumbo Scallop Die. I punched an itty bitty star out of white and stuck it on the blue scallops. Each scallop was staggerd. I used MFT red dottie ribbon, MFT Red gingham ruffled ribbon, and some black twine to top of the bandstand. I added a button from the Summer Collection (MFT) and mounted a tag from Clearly Sentimental about Emerson, "Hitch your Wagon to a Star" is what it says.

Now before mounting the bandstand to the Card base I took my stampendous Firework stamps, and stamped them in TH Embossing ink, clear powder and heat embossed. I then took tumbled glass, stormy sky and chipped sapphire Distress inks over the top to give it that smokey night sky. Each firework has a clear Bling Adornment (MFT) in the center ( I gotta have my bling).

My Image was colored with Copics, I even went back to the HTDT episode for correct skin coloring tutorials ;) Her gloves and shoes have a layer of Clear Glitter Pen to give them some JAZZ...
I decided to cut her half out, KIND OF like out of the box stamping (IMO) and then mounted the rest of her onto pure poppy and SU Blue CS.

Double Jody pop dots on the top half of her box and a single layer on the bottom to make her even with all that paper and ribbon under her.

Well, Well, Well.... It's time for a PARTAY!!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!!

Our infamous Kim (AKA: The MFT Lady) is celebrating her Birthday. Like all entrepreneurs she is gonna be REAL busy makin us spend $$$$ on her Birthday with the new release so we are celebrating just a bit early so that it's ALL ABOUT HER... I mean, come one, who doesn't want their Birthday to be all about them!!!! LOL

I decided that an event like this is worthy of getting all dressed up. Yes, I know, I am SO not a dressie bessie type of gal! I am a sweats kinda gal, but for KIM???... Yea, I pulled out all the stops! *wink* Check out this adorable Jolinne-All Dressed Up! She is CA-UTE!!!!!

This Birthday Wish for Kim from me is about Kim getting the LOVE she SO deserves. I have NEVER "met" anyone who is more giving, kind, compassionate and full of LOVE as Kim is! NEVER!!!!! If someone is having a rough time, THERE SHE IS... if they are needing some help, THERE SHE IS... If someone screws up their order (snicker) THERE SHE IS!!!!!

Kim you TOTALLY have made me look at others in a different light! I am quite the pessimist and you give me hope that there ARE good people out there!!!! Heck, YOU are living PROOF there are! You have created an environment on the Threads that WELCOMES people and makes them feel good. Your Design Team is THE BEST OUT THERE!!!!! They take YOUR lead and just make me all HAPPY and SQUISHY!!!! **blushing**

I wish nothing but the BEST for you Kim! May this year and the following years bring you MUCH JOY!!!!
