Breast Cancer Friday Football

OK, so here is Miss Hailey Brooke, all fixed up for the Football Game tonight, October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, WF West High School is going PINK!!!  LOL  I am AMAZED at how open and aware younger people are about the scares of Cancer.  Hailey's Gramma (my mom) is a SURVIVOR!!!!!  Back when Breast Cancer was killing women left and right, mom found a lump SEVERAL years earlier than 1986 but decided to go and get it taken care of my Senior year, I remember her telling me after a Volleyball game.  Hadn't told me earlier as she didn't want me to worry or be afraid.  Ummm, WHAT?????  **sigh** anyway, Hailey got her craft on the other day and made this T Shirt... Poor Baby wanted Pink Puffy Paint but she was using her Brothers that he bought for Halloween and I of course was working crazy hours and couldn't tell her about the Stickles... LOL  Look at that tutu, the gucci boots, tights, beads, and those earrings... LOL  she took pieces off of a book cover punched holes in them and made herself some earrings... YOU GO CRAFTY GIRL!!!!!

This is a close up of my PRETTY PRETTY PRINCESS!!!!  LOL  She's SUCH A BRAT FACE that I TOTALLY LOVE DEARLY!!!!  It's a girl thing... **wink wink**
Hailey and Poppi... Of course Dave had to start to talk as he just never shuts up!!!  LOL

PTI Goodie Box

Here is a lil goodie box that I put together, {{the snowman is forming still}}  I used a die cut that I bought from Jodi last year I believe.  I used a Heidi Swapp Ghost snowflake and a MFT dienamic snowflake, in the center I added a Websters Pages Sparkler that I got a couple months ago from Taylored Expressions.

For my "Tag" piece I used two PTI Dies Mat Stack 4 and ??? (sorry can't remember the name right now)  I stamped my image from the 2010 Holiday Tags on PTI White and added some Swarovski's to the "dots" in the stamp... you can see the dies have been CB'ed with the Swiss Dots folder also.  I used the SU Slit punch and ran some pink and white ribbon from I {heart} Paper through the slots and around the DP which I carefully cut each piece for each side and matched them up... the box is pyramid shaped, no easy just wrap it around DP action here... *shrug* SO as I was sayin'... The DP is also from PTI called Sugar Plum.  I think this pattern is my Fave from the pack. The top sports a PTI Sweet Blush button and some TCP Twine.

Here is a side view of the project showin that masterfully done DP match up jobbie job.

Sorry for the dark pics, it's late but I have new toys and MUST MAKE STUFFS!!!  AND my instant fix made it SO SO SO Horrible!!!!  LOL

Jar full of Candy

Can you say, WAHOOOO!!!!  My PTI order finally came today, I swear a watched pot really doesn't boil.... LOL

I am using my NEW JAR FILLERS... I am ADDICTED to these jars... SO many good things to stamp inside... I am already spinnin my wheels on my NEXT project... the SNOWMAN!!!! EEEEK!  LOL

OK, so PTI Plum pudding CS and Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather "Flurries" DP were used on this card.  PTI Plum Pudding ribbon tacked down using Jody's sticky paper**GOOOOD stuff**to resemble old fashioned ribbon candy... Yummmmmm

Card is very simple and basic with just the sentiment stamped directly onto the DP.  I did created my own candies that someone dropped while snitchin a couple... 3 layers of Clear EP were added to the jar and loose candies.  Off for more playing!!!! :)

Cards for the Fastpitch Family

I have volunteered to make the cards for the Fastpitch Team Hailey is on, in fact right now I have a CUSTOM STAMP being made... OMG is it CUTE!!!!  YAY!!!

SO, Lori contacted me (OMG she's a friggin HOOT) and told me that one of the ex-players Mom's lost her brother and one of the Coach's is gettin married, life ends and a new life together begins.  A tough combo of cards to do in 1 day, Sympathy cards (on left) are always tough but especially when I dont know the person.  The Wedding Card (on the right) was using the Bigz Die that I just got, so I layered and layered and layered cream and metallic-ey cream papers.  I ran it throught my Big Shot Express and OOPSIE!!!  Cut it in half!  LOL  The die extends beyond what I had the paper cut for... SO, since I'm SO smart, I wrapped some MFT Ribbon around it and "sewed" it together.  Pearls were added to some of the cut outs for glam factor.  All stamps used were from SU!

FlapperDoodle all dressed up

Good Morning.... OK, so a slight confession here peeps... I didn't think it was possible for MFT to come out with a stamp I didn't like... well, I am REALLY having a hard time with the Flapper Doodles... this one I do seem to like though and I won it on a blog hop during release time a few months ago.  At first I looked at her and thought, hmmm, I could turn her upside down and make a flower out of her dress... LOL  I think it's the pinched up sour puss face that I dont like, almost like she smells something nasty... ANYWAY... I wanted to use my new Lattice Bigz Die so I thought this stamp would be great with it, fancy shmancy and all since those who know me KNOW I am NOT FS at all.... LOL  BUT... great idea didn't come to fruition (tee hee big word) SO I rolled with this instead, it's fuzzy flocked paper from DCWV creme collection or some such thing... I had a HARD time finding ribbon as the black pleated was too much, and polkie dots... yea ummm... NOT!!!  LOL, then I found this small amount of the sheer ribbon from MFT from a LONG time ago's release... I used some cheap pearls as my MFT Pearls in black are ALL GONE  **yes, sad face here people**  I added some clear glaze to the dress shaded with 3 different W's of Copics, TH Distress stickles in Antique Linen were added to the flower centers.  I dont know I think I kinda like this card... Whatcha think???

TimHoltz Distress inks in Tea Dye, Vintage Photo and Fired Brick were applied to this little A La Mode names Candy Cane Kisses ...you can find her at MFT ;)

PTI CS was used for card and matting as was the button.  The ribbon is from Taylored Expressions and the twine... well that is Martha Stewart Cooking twine I got last year...

Thanks for comin over and peekin!!!!

MFT WSC "It's In The Bag"

This week for the MFT Weekly Sketch Challenge we are to BAG IT!  LOL

SO... having just completed some blog hops and finding a SUPER Bag idea at Michele's blog  I decided to use that for my Bag.  I used the SU Top note die, MFT Snowflake Die-Namics, Jumbo Scallop Die-namics, Framed Greetings Die-namic, CB Snowflake folder, MFT Felt and The Cute PI called Merry Kissmas.  I covered the snowflakes in TH Rock Candy Distress paint and sprinkled some Art Institute Crushed Glass glitter on them while they were wet.

I stamped my image on a frosted panel (from a company who is no longer in business) in Versamark Ink then sprinkled it with White EP...now I MUST say, I used my embossing buddy AND cranked the heat down on my heat gun.  I have a TURBO version, DH bought it for me at Home Depot... clue ya in on how hot that sucker gets... YES!  This was my SECOND attempt the first one turned into a shrinky dink minus the part where it straightens out...

These are the Jars from MFT (SUPER GREAT).  I poured some Cocoa and some of Dave Teddy Grahams in each container accordingly.  YEs, I will now have to disassemble the project so Dave can have his cookies for his lunch!  LOL  Anyway, the jars were wrapped in DP and the Framed Die-Namic was placed on top.  I stamped using the MFT Wendy Alpha set and then ran it through the CB for texture.  A Nestie scalloped circle is on top of the jar lids.

Here is the close up of the stamping on Frosted Acetate and the snowflakes in all their glitter.

Thanks for looking and see ya next week with another project.  EVERY Wednesday at SCS in the MFT Forums a new project is listed.  Come and play! :)

Die-Namic Storage

Took my cue from Jodi Collins on this project, I had these Making Memories photo album boxes that I got on clearance and all I had to do to keep them together and open nicely without spilling it's guts/dies all over was wrap the ribbon around the base.  They secure with snaps to BINGO BANGO!  Storage, now I can continue my nestie collection as I was outgrowing my binder for those... LOL

Merry Stress-Mas

OK, so after taking more than the prescribed dose of muscle relaxers I was able to sit down and play... just stamp to play... YAY!!  Although unfortunately I dont have time lines for DT's I do have a busy schedule...SO... I wanted to play with an Amanda Baird stamp from MFT, I thought of A Balanced Holiday.  I pulled it out of it's alphabatized spot and WHAT???  UNINKED???  Say it isn't so... I THOUGHT I had used it before. but NOPE!!!  So I fixed THAT problem...

I stamped it once, colored it all in, added some Flower Soft in Silver for Garland, HATED IT!!!  LOL  It was bloppy, so, I started again, this time, "Spot Light" popped into this lil brain of mine.  Bingo!

SO... that's what I did.  I also used some ribbon I got from a friend of mine (Thanks Michele) some time ago and remembered her technique from her blog for distressing ribbon.  Cut down the sides a bit, tore it the rest of the way and wrapped it around some paper that Rae Anne sent to me (Thanks Mama) SO... with the leaning tree and the distressed ribbon, the sentiment stamp that I bought 2 years ago finally saw ink... YAY!!!  LOL
OK, so I'm headed to take a nap as I HAVE to go in to work tonight, I think I've healed enough to roll with some drunks... I sure hope so anyway, the bruises are making their way to the surface, Gee, I'm SO glad it's not bikini weather anymore!!!  LOL  AS IF.... **roll eyes**

Fred Bear, Flower Soft and PAPER Soft...

The Post Office FINALLY decided to cough up my stamp order from MFT.  It only took NINE days for them to get it to me from the time Kim shipped it... grrr...

BUT... ITS HERE!!!!  YAY!!!!

SO, Kate (Celestial_Stamper) on SCS had sent me some goodies that her store carries and I bought from them in my swap return.  Viva Decor PAPER SOFT... I went head first into this stuff... NO CLUE how to use it other than Kate said it blended beautifully.. SO.. I pulled out some Flower soft (a giftie from Kate) my Fred Bear Snowman set, NEW Nesties, so old DP, PTI Cream CS and one of my last three Heidi Swapp clear snowflakes... I attached a PTI button with some MM floss from 100 years ago!  LOL

The blues DO match, it's just my WONDERFUL photography skillz.... *roll eyes**  OH!  I also threaded some skinny satin ribbon (PTI gifite from Crunchy) through the nestie holes...

All in all, not too shabby ESPECIALLY since I used the ink holder as the applicator!  LOL  Kate was on the phone with me and said, "YOU WHAT????"  HAHAHHAHA  Come one Kate, since when do I follow directions... LOL  I am going to LOVE this stuff and plan on now practicing with it... LOL  You will love it too so drop Kate a PM at SCS   (Celestial_Stamper) and she can get ya the hook up on the whole line of Viva Decor items, her little LSS is DOWN WIT DAT SHTUFF!!!!! :)

Kraftin Kimmie-Bite Me!

Well, quite awhile ago I purchased these lil bats for a challenge at KK's... But, life as we know sometimes does, it got in the way... but I completed this card that was banging in my brains for some time now.  BUT... I used a trick I have been seeing on the blogs of super stars... see that ribbon?  Well, Jen (jenjoy71) and I were at Art & Soul up in Olympia and I saw this ribbon, had to have it, black and white... my fave... THEN inspiration hit...I took my copic marker which matches the MFT Sour Apple CS I used with the TH Broken Glass folder, and colored the white part of my ribbon, TAH-DAH!  INSTANT matchy matchy!!!  NEATO right??  That's what I thought, and finally tried it.  Anyway, this is one of the stamps I got 2 releases ago from KK, I STILL have to ink up my pin up girls that I LOVE SO MUCH!!!!  They are still in their envies!!!  EEK!

I was in the middle of this card when I took a MAJOR tumble in the craft room, I was seein stars and I was NOT blog hoppin... OUCHIE!!!!  SO.... CLEAN YOUR CRAFT ROOM FLOORS LADIES!!!!!  LOL

This week at Flower Soft Forum the challenge is to use the Autumn Colors, I got some Autumn Mix a couple weeks ago with an order so i got to play!  YAY ME!

I pulled out this older Whipper Snapper stamp (which I LOVE) and set to work.

PTI Cream, Terra Cotta and Dark Chocolate were used.

Image was stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa onto an MFT Perfect Paper Panel.  Tim Holtz Distress inks in Tea Dye, Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Rusty Hinge were used, the Flower Soft Autumn Mix was added to the bottom of the image.

TH Folder "Wood" was used for the BG paper and a MFT Chain Dienamic in Dark Chocolate was added for interest.

Mojo 160~KelliJo

MFT WSC Sugar Daddy

It's time for another challenge at SCS on the MFT Forum.  It was to make a Masculine card... SO, I went right to the root of their brain... T&A!!!  LOL

**disclaimer** that is Black Satin Pleated Ribbon at the top, NOT a blob of black CS!!!!!  TOUGH to photo.... grrrrr

I used Amanda Baird's Party Girl image, paired it with sentiments from the Twisted Threesome set and a Wyatt set... LOL

Some Jolee blingage, clear gel pen, glitter pen, Viva Decor Glitter pen and a bunch of matting and dimensionals.

CTD #113 by KelliJo

PHEW!  I made it... Color Throwdown is one of my favorite challenges... I almost ran out of time LOL  SO, here is my card... PTI Plum Pudding, Cream and Dark Chocolate CS were used.  I also used a sentiment from the new Inside and Out-Holiday set just released last month.  I was cruisin the aisle of my LSS a couple weeks ago and these prima pearls reached out and grabbed ahold of me so they could jump in my basket.  So I figured this was the perfect card to let them shine on.  They are cream and brown pearls (not black...)

Memento Rich Cocoa for the ink and May Arts ribbon were used.  Dimensionals on the sentiment panel and viola!  Card challenge is DONE!!!  YAY ME!!!! :)

Tuesday, October 5, 2010

I thought I'd quickly play with my newest MFT Set called Winter in the City.  I was at Michael's and saw this black leather and red suede for sale.  I immediately KNEW it was destined for my Winter in the City card.  What else says, cold frosty nights in the big city but leather and suede?  Nuttin' in my book...

SO I used PTI Pure Poppy, black and white for my CS.  Stamped WTG on a piece of PTI White, colored her and "paper pieced" her jacket with a piece of the suede.  The snowflakes are sued also and used an older Brad from my stash to tie the two snowflakes together, these are MFT Dienamics by the way.
A Bit of red Liquid applique for her cuffs...clear glaze on skirt and boots, dab of regular ol glitter on the sidewalk...oh and notice the fog?  Well, that IS what that is... LOL I used the cloud dienamic and some London Fog ink to sponge in some rolling fog....

This is the inside of my card another suede snowflake, some MFT Bling, a sentiment from MFT "'tis the season" and the perfect edge dienamic from last month.  A couple of fuzzy red mitten brads and done!

Thanks for looking!  :)

Here are some upclose shots to show you the suede and leather!  :)

Have an AWESOME DAY!!!!

Lemons

Well here is my card I call, Lemon Wreath Very Pretty and the Lemon Flower Soft Sweet!  LOL

I am using a few new toys on this card and the Flower Soft challenge was PERFECT to get me stampin.... I have been workin my buns off and have just been SO tired lately, I think it's because I am fresh back from Vacation... you know how THAT is... yes I see you noddin' your heads... ;)

This card uses PTI Kraft and PTI Lemon Tart papers and the newly released Wreath for All Seasons.  I stamped it in Memento Rich Cocoa and added the itty bitty drops of Flower Soft glue, sprinkled the lemon Flower soft on, then decided to run my glitter pen around the center twigs to give them some oomph!  Of COURSE I added some blingage... NOT a KJ card without it... the ribbon I purchased at my LSS MONTHS ago... OO OO OOO!!!!!  See that background texture???  YEP!!!  the new plate from PTI Diamonds... LOOOOVE it!!!!!

Well thanks for checkin me out and waiting patiently for a card to load!!! ;)
