Mojo 119

Mojo Sketch 119

Last night I tried to squeek in to the challenge and I was TOO LATE!!!! :(

So this AM I got up, had the new sketch in my email and got right to work. I KNEW this Pure Innocence from MF would be perfect. I used "My Balloon" for my image. I then double stamped the balloon cut it out and used it as my accent piece in the sketch! The paper is from Daisy Bucket (this used to be my Mom's local LSS before they got too big and are strictly wholesale). Anyway, I then used some of the last of my pink pearls, some Pink gingham ribbon from MFT, some nesties and my trusty Wizard. That seems to be the only tool I can't break! LOL

TONS of dimensionals on this baby to give it the needed OOMPH!

Check out MOJO each and every Monday, it definately gives you some eye candy and brain food!!!

Have an AWESOME week.

It's back to work for me tomorrow so me and my stamps are gonna get some quality time!!! ;)

Here are some pic's from this Christmas. Our lil tree was a leaner we discovered AFTER I ran all over town on a Sunday to find a tree stand! I came home from work only to discover that our stand (lovingly called drunk Santa) was broken. Drunk Santa was a porcelain/ceramic type stand, it had Santa laying on his side taking a lil nap and a empty bottle of.... ???? .... egg nog??? laying beside him! LOL!!!! SO I found the stand Dave and Christopher put it up and what do you suppose??? YUP! I BIG OL SWAY in the trunk that couldn't be cut out by taking some off the bottom, it was about 2 ft up... so we went with it!

You will also notice that my son has gotten pretty wooly while at college, me being the GOOD mommy didn't complain (too much) and even bought him stuff for his hair in his prep for... **GAG** Dread Locks... Well, as you will see in the next photo's his hair is cut... HE decided that he didn't like it was too long and hurt his head! LOL **sigh of relief** :)

Here are the new present pics...

YES HE DID!!! Bubba asked for a Vaccuum this year along with an iron, ironing board, printer and XBox year subscription to Xbox live...3 outta 5 aint bad...he can always ask a neighbor to borrow their iron...

Miss Hailey Brooke FINALLY received the open heart necklace this year, it has diamonds on it and a fine silver chain, she also scored on a ring with diamonds and her birthstone :)

WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR!!!!! :)

PS Dave got a Gift Card to Cabella's again this year... can you say $400.... FREE MONEY??? OH MAN!!! I could do some SERIOUS Damage to some stamp companies with THAT much to spend!!!!

MOJO118

OK, so not the best of light for this picture but when you live in the Great Northwest whatcha gonna do??? LOL
I took advantage of some sunshine (rare) that was shining right on my desk and used my keyboard for a prop... UGH!
ANYWAY, I hope I'm not too late but I did this card for MOJO118 a few days ago and thought AACK!!! It's SUNDAY, I NEEEEED to load this baby, it is my personal goal to do all the Mojo challenges and Color Throwdown challenges this year!!! **fingers crossed** LOL
I used some DP and a $1 stamp covered in Irridescent Ice and heat set. I used some MM brads and dimensionals to give this baby some OOMPH!
Not a lot of yakkin as I gotta post this baby to the MOJO blog...
See ya next week... OK, in a few hours!!!! LOL

Color Throwdown meets TSG& Mojo117

TSG (There She Goes) meets Color Throw Down Challenge blog... OK, so HOW MUCH FUN IS THIS???
I LOVE TSG and have been admiring Barbara's color throwdown cards each time it posts, so I decided to throw myself into this challenge, a New Years Resolution it is... tee hee lucky for me they are taking a break and coming back AFTER January, so I will have authorization to break that resolution for a couple weeks! LOL
OK, so enough blah blah blah, onto the Card... the Challenge comes from Color throwdown . The challenge was to use the following colors, Real Red, Kiwi Kiss, Always Artichoke and Cool Carribean. CC is before my SU days so I used some Bazzill that is close...
I used the TSG Mini set and stamped and cut out 3 of the scoops of heaven, each one was mounted with dimensionals, with the top scoop having 3 of them to keep it from falling off of the cone... the puffy part of the scoops was glittered up with clear glitter and my 2way glue pen. I used some wavy ribbon froma bulk buy and a MFT Button from the Spring collection.
I am SHOCKED at how much I like this color combo, I like ALL of the examples but I NEVER like MY cards!!!! LOL
Well, come on over and play as you too can enter a card AND have a chance at winning one of Jessica's SUPER COOL Stamp Sets like this baby that I used... :)

This ALSO meets the MOJO117 Sketch for this week...just 23 hours left in that baby! LOL

Be Safe and Be Inky!

Friday, December 18, 2009

so when it finally warms up....*sigh*...it will be painted black to match the shelves....
SO is THIS where my money goes????? LOL

MFT December Blog Hop -Guest DT

WELCOME TO THE MFT BLOG HOP!!!!!

If you didnt arrive from Barbara's blog then you are truly missing out so head to Kim's blog and start the hop there.

One lucky Hopper will be receiving BLOG CANDY from MFT.... Where is it??? Who has it??? What is it??? The only way to find out is to hop to all the blogs and post a comment on each blog. It's kinda like buying a lottery ticket, the more tickets you buy the better your odds! **wink wink**

Now, I NEED to tell you about this here card of mine. I am using the BRAND NEW WTG set called Mister Right. It was the VIP limited amount set a few weeks ago. NOW you too can get your inky little hands on it. I like to paper piece WTG's but this time I just chose to color. I have some WILD N CRAZY papers but just didn't want to go "there" KWIM? I had another card created and just wasn't feelin it...so this AM along comes MOJO115 sketch and I had my A-HA moment... Now THIS is perfect.... I used SU! Old Olive for my card base & DCWV Bella Cafe DP papers. I also used my largest scalloped circle nestie and my largest Scalloped oval nestie, yes I actually got them to CUT... LOL I used brads (wanna be's not baby braddies) on the main area of the card, boy did I use brads.... HOWEVER on the sentiment tag I used my little baby braddies and some brown polka dotted ribbon that I believe I got in a bulk buy from an SCS'er.

Anywho...I kept the colors pretty neutral but added some Spica glitter pen to the vaccuum and the glass of vino. I DID however make the laptop pop with a touch of MFT Pink... ;)

Now you can head over to the AWESOME HOT MAMA JESSIE

Make sure when you are all done a hoppin that you come hang out with us at the MFT Release party over at the SCS Forum... we always laugh and have fun... it really is OK to chat... it was my FIRST release party that I didn't hide in the shadows and I was welcomed in with LOTS of niceness... these gals are SUPER CARD DIVAS but the NICEST you will ever meet...

DAY THREE = TWO CARDS... BOTH of them are from MFT's newest girls called Pure Innocence (PI)... The first ones released sold out in no time flat, so I REALLY suggest you click FAST!!!! LOL

OK, so the first card I am going to show you is using the PI set called "Especially for You" it comes with one main image and then 3 sentiments... this little girl is SUPER cute and SO much fun to color...IMAGINE THAT... KJ had fun COLORING.... LOL YEP! They make it easy peasy.... ;)

I used My Mind's Eye DP, MFT paper in chocolate Fudge and Bubblegum, this cardstock is GREAT... I stamped my image on a MFT Perfect Paper Panel (say that three times fast) I used dimensionals on the DP and the image. Finished it off with some Doodlebug brads in Bubblegum and some YUMMY (hoarded) MFT Gingham ribbon...I also found a heart shaped button in the Chocolate Kiss Button stash...punched out a punch and stamped the sentiment "Especially for You" then layered it with the fudge and bbgum paper moving each one up just a bit. THEN added the fun and shimmery Martha Stewart Mica Chip glitter for the snow...

HERE IS THE CARD:

My second card features ANOTHER of the PI girls called, "Best Friends" I used some PTI CS in lemon tart and Kraft and used some of my 30% off DP (tee hee) from Cosmo Cricket called "Earth Love". I used some Spring time buttons found at MFT along with BABY BRADDIES... the BEST ever itty bitty brads... dont fall for imitations... it's like ketchup.. catsup is NASTY gotta go for the REAL DEAL.... these baby braddies are the REAL DEAL!!!! They come in SEVERAL colors and make sure you double your order (wink) as you will need more and more and more...

I used some ribbon that I received in a bulk buy from Delfinaus and some kraft colored twine inside my buttons to make sure they were dressed... I punched out a circle for the sentiment, stamped it in Memento Rich Cocoa (as is the image).

Here is the card....

Dont forget to go to Kim's blog so that you can see all of the sneekie peekies for today.... the next peekie (tomorrow) I will be stalking just like the rest of you, I have GOT to see this set in action... It's already in my cart...ok, not yet but it WILL BE... along with a sneekie of a PI that I have to have ... LOL

WAHOO it's DAY TWO.... FLOPSEY FLOPSEY FLOPSEY... This Lil guy is ALWAYS into SOMETHING fun, exciting and this time DELISH!!!!!!

Kim at MFT and her AWESOME DESIGNERS have created another winner right here with this guy... It's Flopsey Truffles... I LOVE HIM....

I used MFT Paper Panels to stamp flopsey, the background and the box of candy. Notice the background paper of the box of chocolates? WELL... THAT image is from the FIRST set I sneekie peekie'ed... Love at first Sight. I thought it was a PERFECT match for ol Flopsey here...Stamped it randomly on a paper panel, colored it in with copic's and spica glitter pens. I made it a combo box of chocolate and then drizzled some white chocolate on the candies using my white gel pen. I stamped flopsey and colored him in and then cut him out, covered him in dimensionals to pop him up. I then stamped the box of chocolates again on a panel colored it the same way as the background paper and cut it out and dimensional'ed (word? LOL) it. I set of a bit up from the image to give it more of a 3D look...

The sentiment on the side was first punched with a SU punch, I then took the Happy from the sentiment and stamped it, then cleaned my stamp and then re-applied the sentiment with a bit of a curve to match the punch angle and stamped it. I then found a itty bitty heart brad in my stash (dont you LOVE stashes?) and stuck it in the center.

All DP is from SU! as is the ribbon. I used some other red brads from my "stash" and viola....

FLOPSEY TRUFFLES IS HERE....

Check out Kim's blog for more details on the other cards being showcased by my WONDERFUL and FUN vacation filler in-ers like myself... we are ALL so excited to be able to play...

Have an AWESOME Sunday and I will see you here on Monday with another card.... YAY!!!!

Friday, November 27, 2009

Here is the first of my Guest Vacation Relief Design Team cards. I was THRILLED when Kim asked me to join her crew during the December releases... WAHOO!!!! I tell ya, it's a Dream Come True... SO much fun getting to play with all these new stamps, and having the "inside skinny" before the others!!! LOL I am NOT good about not knowing what is going on... so, before I bore you to tears let me tell you about my card...

The image is the new set from Amanda Baird. LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT is the name of the set. I decided to make a shaker card for my design, I love shaker cards, SO interactive... I used glittery sticker letters and replaced the "O" with the shaker piece. I used SU! paper for the cardstock but stamped my image on an MFT Paper Panel, in my opinion the BEST paper out there for stampin on, it just LOVES Copic markers AND Gamsol/pencils...

Also on my card are other products available at MFT; MFT Button in Spring Set, Halloween gem set and Green Swiss Dotted ribbon.

Check out Kims blog for more details on the other cards being sneekie peekie'ed tonight and all the way up to the release blog hop on the 2nd of December (3 days before my B Day **hint hint**) :)

Thanks for stoppin by and make sure you come back tomorrow as I will have another sneekie peekie for ya! Take care and be safe!

Well, the contest is over the confetti has all landed and the clean up guy has come through... The MFT So You Thnk You Can Dance contest is over... WHAT A THRILL... TRULY shocked to have made it that far and I had some AWESOME comments on my project and it was a "FAVE" of some... Now you talk about a WAHOO moment... I LOVED seeing that, to me it means I am getting better... I have ALWAYS had the support of my fellow Ho's, Mama, Yoorah, Kate, etc... it is SO much fun to get "strangers" comments, but anyway...

The contest was reported to be free stamps, YUP! from December to May worth... $450+ worth... WOW!!! SO...today Kim, of MFT STamps posts that there was a reason it was SIX MONTHS worth of stamps... The Winner would be getting a COVETED (my word) DT Spot... this is something stampers would KILL for... in fact I DID ask if "something" happened to the winner would someone step up to take her spot like in the Miss USA Pageants! LOL As you can probably tell it was NOT me that won, or I would be plotting on how to hire a body guard! COVETED I'M TELLIN YA!!!!! LOL

BUT... a GREAT lil bratty gal that is SUPER sweet(aka: Brattie) won... You can click on her name to go to her blog and just see the stuff this lil heiffer from Texas pumps out... she is PHENOMENAL.... Mama and Yoorah know her as PYT (Pretty Young Thang)... she is truly funny, sweet, polite, and a damn good stamper... and What I would call a friend... you know one of those to LOVE to HATE? HAHAHAHAHHA

Anyway, please click on her name and check her out, wish her congrats and just enjoy the sights!!! I'm a registered stalker of her blog... ;)

They have a new stamp company called Pure Innocence, and those ARE STINKING CUTE... they go perfectly with the lil guy we all love FLOPSEY and then the GO TO GIRL.... Whose That Girl (WTG)! add those in with the delish designs of Amanda Baird, Annie LaPointe and you have got one heckuva selection... WOW!!!

OK, so anyway, I wll stop babbling over my MFT Love & affection... BE at Kims Blog to start the sneek peeks on Saturday the 28th of November... get your Christmas shopping list ready... cuz boy howdy, these stamps ROCK!!!!

Here is my entry for the MFT new contest, "So You Think You Can Stamp" based on the TV show. Last spring was MFT Idol.... a BUNCH of fun.... This week is DISCO/Retro...It's funny to read some of the posts on there as those youngsters are SO not in the know of rollerskates and strobe lights! LOL

ANYWAY... The inspiration for this card was the cover of the Bee Gee's album for Saturday Night Fever. I used Hooga Booga from MFT as my John Travolta on the dance floor. I used a hole punch SEVERAL times for my floor...I then added a disco ball. I figured there were ALWAYS "hot chicks" at the disco's so I used Girls Night Out and made them into silhouettes and hand cut them out. I used double dimensionals on "john" and on the sentiment (unknown company) and some K&Co blingages for my frame. This first card was then layered onto a blue card cut at 5 1/2 x 4 1/2

SO... as soon as SCS will quit being a jerk and let me load into my gallery it will be officially entered. Hopefully it will stay... Some last week would keep disappearing.... Grrrrr.....

Anway, check out the entries and enjoy.

Sunday, September 13, 2009

Here is another lil sneak peek at a new stamp set from Totally Stampalicious. This set is called Hawt Dawg! This set has 5 sentiments and 5 images. the quality of these stamps is AWESOME and the gals that make them are SUPER SWEET... we all know them from Splitcoaststampers.... Stamps'nCoffee and Auntbaba46. I hope you enjoy this card... he's pawsitively GLOWING.... HAHAHAHAH Sorry.... :)

Oh my but it's been awhile... we have moved to a new house and have been waiting for the internet to get hooked back up, and of course the day it was hooked up was a work day for me... it is ALSO the day for the reason for my new post. There is a new stamp company in town and MY OH MY! There are some CUTE CUTE CUTE stamps coming your way September 15. Bekcy and Joycelyn have decided to venture out into the stamp world and (get this...) asked me if I would help launch their stamps! Oh the honor of that... I was SO thrilled. I received my stamps and immediately set out to work. the first card I made I loved til I mounted it on DP and knew SOMETHING wasn't right... then along comes Hailey (DD) and said, that paper SO doesn't go mom. OK, my suspicions were confirmed.... LOL

SO I moved on to THIS card.... I had to stew over the other one for awhile trying to see what would smack me upside the head....

Here is a close up of the stamp set I received called Road Hawg....

Here is the actual card... I LOVED this paper and it is by DCWV Called All dressed up, a glamorous lil Road Hawg if I do say so.... see the sentiment??? LOVE that.... hmmmm, Biker babe in previous life or nearing my mid life crisis??? LOL

Anyway... on Septemeber 15, 2009 Totally Stamalicious will be available with three other sets besdies the HAWG..... Enjoy ladies....

Third and Final Hanna Guest DT ABAC/3D

Well, ladies and gents.... WHAT A RIDE.... Here is my Final Hanna Stamps Guest DT Application. I have already uploaded in the 2 previous weeks my cards. NOW is the Grand Finale.... the ABAC/3D item. Once again using the ADORABLE Riley/Sophie in a tub stamp available at www.hannastamps.com This stamp was sent to us for FREE from Kristi of Hanna stamps to use in this challenge... there have been 15 of us trying out for 6, count them S-I-X spots for a month long Guest DT Spot with Hanna....

I can't tell you how much fun this has been, I get to pretend to "Be Somebody" for THREE WHOLE WEEKS!!!! AMD. get this - AND MY CARD WAS FEATURED ON KRISTI'S BLOG!!! I tell ya I RAN to the front office to get my stampin buddies and show them the blog...AFTER gettin Hi-Five's from my fellow CO's in the Jail... THEY ARE AWESOME TO ME!!!!! WAHOOOO!!!!!! But the BEST PART..... I have met some SUPER nice fellow SCS'ers on this thread, and let me tell ya, there is some SERIOUS Talent in this group...It has been SO much fun!!!! The friendships from this "competition" are WOW... it's hard to call it a competition as it has been SO exciting to see what each person comes up with next, the different looks to the SAME STAMP is TOTALLY COOL!!!!

OK, I've gushed enough I guess... Here are the deets about my ABAC... You see Miss Sophie (I vote it's Sophie, Riley is a shower kinda dude) is sittin all perty in her lil bubbly tub...well, I have a perty Miss Sophie of my own who was a SERIOUS FISH in the tub.... SO I thought I'll make a lil book. I didn't want to do a scrapbook page as I am NOT a scrapper...SO I grabbed the front page and one more page of my Maya Road Chipboard book that I have had in my stash for quite awhile now. I made sure Sophie was framed from the front in the cut out heart. Of course my warped sense of humor kicked in and grabbed my Cricut and some matching DP and cut out "X rated" for the cover... I KNOW that got your attention **wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more, say no more!** :) Open it up and there is Kristi's Sophie and of course MY Sophie, Lil Miss Hailey Brooke! Do you see that lil nekkie bum??? HAHAHAH She was SO darn cute in her tow head curls...

I hope you enjoyed my projects I had a blast doing them.

Thank you Kristi and Vicki for the time and energy that you have spent on this challenge.

Best of Luck to the Final 15 sistah's of Hanna!!!!!!

Hugs from the PP HO!!!!! KelliJo

OK, now for the card I created a scene with the card that appears that you are going to walk through the bathroom door to see Miss Sophie relaxing in her tub with double bubbles...in the tub AND her glass! LOL

I had drew the floor, Kristi has since come out with a stamp for this and it is SO mine, LOL! I added some DP for the wallpaper and I stamped and cut out Sophie to put her on dimensionals. The tub is resting on the fluffy rug from Hanna Computer set. I hope you enjoy the card, I absolutely LOVE it and am very proud of it! :)

Now leave me some love and go check out the others cards and do the same! They are all awesome! AFTER leaving love (LOL) head on over to www.hannastamps.com and do a lil shopping! ;)

He's Gone.....

WELL, the day came and here are the pictures to prove it. The day all parents teasingly "dream about"! The kids leave the nest. I gotta tell ya, it aint no picnic! It was 0600 when Bub pulled out of the drive way but before he did Hailey told him to wake her up so she could say goodbye. I tell ya those 2 are closer than they act, lil Hailey who was excited to be "the only child" was in TEARS...her Brother was leaving and she was lost...

Bubba is headed to Eastern Oregon University to become a Personal Trainer. He is studying Physical Education with a Minor in Business. He is going to be a Mountaineer. He was okayed for the Football team and scheduled to leave September 24 to report for the team, THEN THE CALL CAME IN.... Coach Camp wanted him to report for Team Camp which moved his departure date up SIX WEEKS!!! TODAY!!!! It's not known if he will Red Shirt this year or if he will make the team but he has an extra 6 weeks of showing what he's got on the other kids! :)

I believe that he has enough underwear, socks and clothes to last him till Christmas when he can come home. *grin* SO... I guess all parents go through this sadness of will they remember what they were taught about how to behave, how to make wise choices, being careful, managing money, GIRLS???? UGH!!!!! Bub is SUCH a good kid and didn't get in to trouble, did some DUMB stuff, but chalk that up to being a kid, nothing to get him thrown where I can see him everyday! LOL

Thanks to all my friends who have been here for me during the countdown to D Day... I cried myself to sleep last night, Dave lost some sleep but held it together pretty well this AM as I had to be able to comfort Hailey as she is pretty torn up! SO... in 4 years you will be seeing another post just like this one when my Baby leaves...

Take care my friends....

PS A Happy post will be here on Saturday when I load my 2nd Guest DT Tryout pic for Hanna Stamps! ;)

Hanna Guest DT Round 1

Here is my first round Hanna Guest DT Card...Sophie is relaxin in the tub takin a little break! :)

I used the Sophie Tub stamp, SU Scalloped and Oval punches. SU CS in Certainly Celery, Pixie Pink, and Apricot Appeal (SCS Color challenge) the layout for the card was this weeks Sketch Challenge also. I realised I had NO black brads so I used my Copic Markers and made some brass brads black. I also Paper Pierced (first time) around the certainly celery layer. I used some of the circles from Circle Circus to mimic bubbles on the pixie pink layer, they were inked up using pixie pink, stamped off first and then onto the card stock to keep it light. I highlighted different areas of the card with my white gel pen to give it pop. I hand drew the floor and walls.

I hope you enjoy the card and have your fingers crossed WITH ME.... OH MAN!!! I am SO stoked over this!!!! WHAT FUN THIS HAS BEEN!!!!

Stay tuned.... the next load coming up in a few days as there is a schedule to follow...mine are all ready to go..... WAHOOOO!!!!!!!

Come on over and view the other contestants entries too, there are 14 SUPER Talented ladies in this barrell of fun!!!! http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=451126
