Some New Toys

It's Almost New Years and I wanted to just Play with my goodies...I got some NEW Goodies!!! :) :) :)

SO here is my card it's doily-fied LOL  MFT's New Doily dienamic and doily strip dienamic, some doily-ish ribbon from the stash, some Burlap Prima flowers **drool** and some DCWV Groovy Girl papers.  Some BG Pearls in the corners (itty bitty ones) and the center of the flower and this card is DONE!  YUMMM... Wouldja just look at that coloring??  This image made shading EASY as the texture is drawn in making it SO much easier for me to "get it" with the shading thingie, that light source whoops my brains every time... **roll eyes**

Anyway... I'm off to a GREAT Start to 2011, may the New Year find you all Happy and Healthy... ya know my Horoscope said Jupiter would be in my path this year to expect GREAT things... hmmm... we will have to see about that one now wont we??? ;)

PTI Swap on SCS

Two of my "Funky Folds"  Gate Fold Sympathy Card using PTI Sympathy stamp set, Black, Cream and Linen CS.  Easel Card using PTI White, Up Up and Away Stamp set and some DP from my stash, also used the UU&A die...

Two of my Rgular Fold cards.  Distressed Dots DP on Pure Poppy CS.  Stamped the On My Couch stamp set onto a couch that was die cut from Pure Poppy, stamped in Fresh Snow and clear EP added.  Second card uses PTI Black, White and Raspberry Fizz.  It also used the 2010 Round and Round Anniversary set.  Some Joliee bling in the dotties...didn't think I could make FOUR sets of cards and NOT have bling SOMEwhere didja??  ;)

These are DONE **fairly early** and will be postal soon!  WOOT WOOT!!!  LOVE being ahead of the game!!!!

OK, so rather than trying to fit all this in with the pictures... Dave with some of his goodies, Yes!  That IS a Dallas Cowboys Santa hat... he wears it every year to divy out the gifties!!!

Bubba: You notice the stocking?  My Mom cross stitched him one a LONNNNG Time ago and it is about the only tradition we have... what a FANTASTIC keeper, she cross stitched it onto Linen...this is one of the only women who's front of the cross stitch and the back of the cross stitch are darn near identical... a bit anal with the perfect stitches on the back!  LOL 

Hailey: She too got a WONDERFUL stocking from Mom.  You see the lil yellow blankie?  YUP!  Hailey went EVERYWHERE with that yellow blankie, so Mom made the blankie on the stocking to match... awwww... LOL  The OTHER Tradition that we have is that every year the kids get a Lifesavers Storybook in their stocking.  My Sister and I always have gotten one and it's just a part of my childhood that I have carried on to my kids, maybe they will continue with theirs....Do you see the pic of the HP Charger?  Yea, she was a bit miffed as she doesn't know what it goes to, so I showed her the shipping notice (grrr...long story) and the smile that followed after! :)

G'Pa:  That is Dave's dad Joe SR.  He had just come downstairs and I snapped a photo.  LOL  Then the pic of him and his confusion of what the heck we got him... Handheld games, figured they were a great change from the romance novels he reads...

All in all, a GREAT Christmas, not a bunch of gifts purchased at the store but the GREATEST GIFT EVER... My Family together!!!!!

OK, so as promised I have PICTURES of my NEWLY RE DESIGNED HAPPY PLACE!!!!  I had outgrown my shelves and needed MORE space because, let's face it... I am NOT done shopping for toys!!!!!  LOL  SO... My Hubby came up with the idea of boxes in a stair step fashion and WOW but it gave me TONS more room and look at those buttons and punches... it looks like a store display!!!  I LOOOOVE IT... but of course NOW it looks like I dont have that many stamps so I am going to have to work on filling those gaps!!! **wink wink**  EDITED TO ADD!!!!!!   Bubba Helped Dave build these AWESOME Boxes... THANK YOU BUBBA~!!!!! <3 <3 <3

Christmas in Florida~ LOL

This popped into my head and I decided to go with it!  LOL

I grabbed some DP that Kate sent me by Kaiserkraft, some PTI in Avacado and Raspberry Fizz.  Some Taylored Tiny Twinkles are on the MS Wreath and bottom corner.  The ribbon was a pretty color so I kept it from a package of ????  hehe!  The image is MFT Catchin Some Rays, a scalloped scallop Dienamic was used on some cork for my sand... now the sentiment... I am SO in love with this sentiment... it's my Mantra for 2010... It's from the Limited Edition stamp set call Noel Sentiments.  Pretty simple to explain the card dontcha think???  SO, anyway, this is my idea of Kim at Christmas time... you know... ALL of Florida is ALWAYS warm... LOL

Some Play Time

My My but life has been kinda chaotic lately... BUT... I quickly made this card last week for a friend at work, he is a Falcon's fan and I of course am a Cowboy Fan.  I HATE Seattle and they are going to be playing the Falcons, SO... since the Cowboy's aren't going to be playing the Seahawks this year, I told Tim that I would jump on the Falcon Bandwagon.  LOL  Thus this CUTE PI card using Football PI and the Wagon full of Friends PI.  I only stamped 1/2 of the wagon, cleaned it and then stamped the back half over a bit to fit the football player in it.  I completed the wagon lines with my Copic multiliner pen.  The football player dude is wearing his "throwback" uniform, thus the red helmet... My PI is wearing her finest Cowboys gear complete with glittery star on her dress.  :)  Sun, Clouds and stars were all created using Dienamics.  Tried the Grass thing that Michele and Jody do and I have some work to do but not too bad!  ;)

Last night I was pilfering around in my paper pads and found this one that I ordered quite some time ago it's called "willow Bee" by Nicki Sivils.  I believe I got it from I heart paper... I hadn't inked up the Honey Bee PI yet, so it was PERFECT for this paper, which if memory serves me is why I purchased this paper pack!  Had grand plans... hmmm, maybe NEXT year!  LOL  The Mini scalloped dienamic was used along with some black $1 bin M's buttons and some Cats PJ's thread.  OH!!!!  DO YOU SEE MY STITCHING????  EEEK!!!!  LOL  It's a combo of not knowing what the heck I'm doing and "crazy stitching"  Did you know that you can't go backward very far on a sewing machine?  I had it in reverse to make the double stitch but apparently it wasn't liking that, so I trimmed the threads turned it around and went down again, thus the larger poke holes at top... **sigh** LOL  BUT... I'm working on it... NO! Those white dashes on the DP are PART OF THE PAPER, I did NOT do that!!!!!  BUMMER!!!!!  LOL

Lastly here is my DELISH Birthday Cake that Dave and Hailey got for me on my Birthday.  Dave cooked Finger Steaks and Fried Taters for Dinner (lurve that stuff) and we ate cake afterward.  It was DELISH and PURPLE!!!!! :)

Hope this post finds everyone doing well and healthy-my cold is still hanging on, what a simple term for this plague kinda sickness that I have.... man it's bad this year... 

It's back to the coal mine for me tomorrow, BE SAFE FRIENDS!!!!!

It's time to shop!!!  My project for tonight, I'm showing you I CAN recycle!!!  LOL  Big joke in my area as we are a bit "county" and use used motor oil to start our burn barrels... **gasp** I know, I know... anyway, I got a blog update thingie in my email and it had a link to this project and I KNEW I had to use it for my Final Project as a Guest DT for MFT... I had TONS of felt that I purchased thinkin I could use it with my dies.. NOPE, too cheap... but it cuts fine with scissors and was PERFECT for this project... I used the WTG From the Bottom of my Heart set and used the WTG image... some MFT Dienamics called Hearts a Plenty and created this wreath!!!  **EEEEKK!!!!  Makes me GIGGLE**

Oh WOW!!!  Right???  I LOVE this card, I tell ya, these sets have been SO fun to stamp with and just pull stuff outta ya that you had NO IDEA was in there!!!  LOL  I feel like SUCH a big girl stamper!!!  :)

I used some of my Favorite DP from MFT, Chocolate Kiss , for this card, I got a new embossing folder the other day and used it also... on the BIG nestie heart... I added some ribbon to the back to give it that HOT Doily look.  The Polkie Dottie ribbon, yep... MFT.... and that image... it comes from the Newest WTG Bottom of my Heart set... YES!  If you missed out on it during the VIP now is your chance to swoop this baby up... It has SO many great images to use... I chose to keep mine fairly simple and just use the box of chocolate... it's been covered in clear glaze pen, white ink pen, glitter pen etc... TONS of details in this card.  I nestied it out with a new die... cant remember the name... LOL  Well, that is it for me for NOW.... heh! heh! heh!!!  I have ONE MORE POST... it's for the **insert trumpet sound here**  BLOG HOP AND SHOP!!!!!  Just you wait... I went GREEN on ya'all!!!! LOL

Oh So Close to Release Day, Sneak day #4

 Just LOOK at this cutie patootie... She is called Heartfelt... Oh so CA-YUTE!!!!!!

I just used some older BG DP for this one and a bunch of layering using TE Sketch #86 (i think) lol

Some buttons, and MFT Ribbon were added for blowie effect... seem those pearls?  YUP!  Viva Decor Pearl Pens... From my Bestie Kate... her store ROCKS!!!!! :)

The heart has a sentiment stamped in the center of it... this is NOT a new die, these are nesties, I had this card done before Kim sent me the heart dienamics... I tell ya, that gal... she is SO good to us Junkies, I didn't even have to beg and plead for these dienamics, I asked if I could have them all for the release if I paid for them, as being a Guest DT you dont get the dies, just the yummy Stamps, which allows you to STILL be able to order and have that thrill on release day... LOOOVE it... but anyway, I'm blabbering... that is NOT a dienamic!!!! ;)

**OK** So did I hit the "Vintage" nail on the head or WHAT???  **big grin**  It has THREE different step layers...AND opens up!!!  LOL YAY ME!!!

I stamped SO many various pieces from the NEWEST Inspired By Set called Inspired by Love.  Oh My, oh my, oh my!!!!!!!  This set is SO perfect for all things vintagey.... I LOOOVE it...

All images and sentiments come from this set along with SEVERAL others... I mean SEVERAL, this baby is PACKED.... they were stamped and heat embossed in detail silver EP, some MME "Lush" DP was used and see that lil metal heart???  YUP!!!  In my stash from a previous VIP Kit... just cut off the top hanger loopie thing and stuffed the back with 2 of Jody's dimensionals.... 3 little silver brads, some of the Crochete ribbon and DONE!!!! 

I am NOT a Vintage Pro but am EXTREMELY proud of this baby!!! :)  Now, getcher selves on over to KIM'S BLOG and see what else there is to ooo and awwww over....

EEEK!!! It's PI SNEAK PEEK DAY!!!!!!

Each month since these Pure Innocence have been released I wonder, HOW can they POSSIBLY get any cuter... then THERE THEY ARE, Just as CUTE as can be.... Just look at this sweetie with a box of candies for a Friend... This PI is named Sending a Box of Love...

OK, so... let's play a game shall we???  I SPY WITH MY LITTLE EYE.... Some thing that is NEW!!!!!!!  HAHAHAHH!!!!  YUP!!!!

Do you see that HEART???  That CIRCLIE STRIP???  BOTH are new this month!!!  YIPPEE YAHOOZIE!!!!  I am SO excited about them!!!  The heart die is called Hearts a Plenty and the circlie strip, it's called Dainty Dots !!!

 This is the inside of my card using another strip of the Dainty Dots dienamic and some pink pearls... this is the REST of the sentiment from the outside... I mean seriously, besides big shoulders... Chocolate is SO "friend-ish" dontcha think???  ;)

OK and THIS cute guy... LOL  He cracks me up... I am so impressed with my patience on this card... he has felt, denim and khaki cotton twill piecing YES!!!  His WHOLE OUTFIT is pieced... I drew in the sidewalk, and used some AWESOME stuff called Paper Soft from VivaDecor my Bestie Kate sent me, I used it on the sidewalk and the sky... IN LOOOVE!!!!  I continued on with dies using the truly awesome Grass and Clouds dienamics... decided to use a bit o black a silver dottie ribbon to finish it off and **BANG!** It's a stinkin MASTERPIECE!!!!  LOL

Here is a 3rd Peek... I'm such a Stage Hog... This lil PI is called Love you with all my Heart.  I paired this cutie with hearts a plenty dienamic and a sizzix heart cut out of frosted acetate, a chain ribbon heart, some heart DP and that yummy suede Brown ribbon from MFT awhile ago... a lil Earth Button and some twine.  Can you say OOOOOOzing with LOVE!!!???  LOL

It's Day 2 for MFT Sneekies!!!!!

Oh but those Sassy Lil Flapper Doodles are raisin' da roof!  It's New Years and they are in their glitter of finest glittery dresses... I stamped the images onto some of Jody's red liner sheets, cut them out and applied them to the stamped images, one by one the protective sheet was removed to add the selected glitter color for their party dresses.

That silver rope ribbon is some I picked up several months ago I wasn't sure why until this stamp set arrived... I think I was a raccoon in my previous life, I LOVE me some shiny... ANWAY, LOL, I stamped out the numbers from Bling 'Bers, added some Swarovski Crystals to the numbers, and applied them to the chain with jody's pop dots!

The inside is here with one of the sentiments some more bling.  I used the Ric Rac and Chain dienamic on the inside also! 

OOOOO & AWWWW!!!!!  This is a NEW stamp set and Dienamic Combo set, It's called... Flower Silhouette and Die combo....

I stamped my image on to a MFT Perfect Paper Panel, water colored, found that I STILL can't water color no matter what I do, so I fixed THAT issue of poor blending... I inked the entire image with Versa Mark and covered it with SU Heat and Stick, heated it, and then dumped some Irridescent Ice on top and heated it again.  I mounted the image onto some blue CS, used a bit darker CS and embossed it with a TH folder.  I then wrapped the image with a linen ribbon  in this dark blue and tied a bow, and FUSSED with it forEVER.... Mounted all that onto some Cream CS and punched the bottom with a MS Punch.

This is a NEW Dienamic that is being released... Yes, I know... SWOOOOON!!!!!  It's called Textile Rectangles and it too is a combo stamp set... EEEK!!!!! It's called Textile Rectangles die and stamp duo.

 I stamped another flower image onto the panel in London Fog Gray and then a sentiment from the set in Black.


For my final project for today's peeks I had to use that irrisistible Flopsey, can you believe he can Ice Skate too???  He da' man!!! :)  I decided to make Flopsey into a wreath, so I stamped him and paper pieced him, nestied him, CB'ed him and then added him to some ornament shaped nesties as a twirly gig... I then rolled and rolled and rolled the dainty dots dienamic through the CB to make a PAPER CHAIN!!!!!  LOL  LOOOOVE this.... added some MFT ribbon to co-ordinate and viola!

SUPRISE!!!! Day 1 for MFT Sneak Peeks!!!!

OK, so not only do you get the surprise of seeing ME on this Sneak Peek week but you get the PLEASURE of peeking at these ADORABLE stamps set to be released on December 1, 2010!

I know right?  Tweeny Teen this month is ADORE-ABLE.... she is "You Give Me Wings" Tweeny Teen, the older version of the PI's!!!!

Her wings have glass glitter affixed using Zip Dry paper glue, it's like cement...

Tons of dotties on this baby, I mean, how could I resist??  LOL

SO THANKFUL

As I sit here eating my bowl of chili on Thanksgiving day... I am thinking of friends near and far, with love in my heart... to those that tolerate me, THANK YOU... for those that understand me, THANK YOU... for those that love me anyway... THANK YOU!!!!!

I thank God for my family, although we bicker like most families do, these last couple of weeks the chips have not only been down but NON EXISTENT... we have cinched in our belts and let NOTHING come between us, the support and love is AMAZING...

I thank God for my friends that I have made on a wonderful site called SplitCoastStampers  I LOVE THAT PLACE... although I haven't "met" these people, I know them!!!  They make me laugh and smile, and are always there with a BIG SHOULDER...

I thank God for my creativity as it provides me a peaceful place to escape, although not ever piece is a masterpiece (LOL) I have taken the time to shut down, go to my happy place and just play...

I thank God for my co-workers...We have been together for 6 years now and OMG What Fun Fights we have... LOL  We have verbally "duked it out" numerous times and it makes us all grow as a person, learning to listen to each other and see things in a different light, I spend more time with this half of my family than my own.  Although we are all a bit "red headed" we love each other and dont let ANYONE mess with one of our siblings... you too have given me a shoulder to lean on, given me help when needed by selflessly burning some vacation days so that I can suck up that OT to make ends meet!!!

I thank God for being an American Citizen!  ('nuf said)

Have a Blessed Thanksgiving Day!!!  Stop and just think fondly about those in your life, past and present and send up a Thank you to God!  It's because of Him, all things are possible!

Just a Friendly lil Blog Hop!

Wahoo!!!  I'm here on a Friendly Little Blog Hop.  I have met some REALLY sweet ladies on a Swap Thread over on SCS...they took this newbie in with wide open arms and tolerate my antics!  :)  GOTTA LOVE THAT!!!!! 

SO, Banu has a Challenge blog that these gals play in (I must start paying better attention and play along), well we are all in a PTI (PaperTrey Ink) swap and we are doing a PTI Holiday hop!  I am a Born Again PTI Follower.  Do you see those papers?  Come on... who WOULDN'T become a PTI stalker!  LOL  I started out GREAT GUNS as is my normal way, and I have almost all of the colors of CS from PTI, THE best paper EVAH!!!!  I bought this stamp set from Sandye (where you will be hopping to next) and am IN LOVE... it comes with a Santa image also, old school Santa.  The set is called Believe.  I stamped it on PTI White colored with Copics added some bling to the berries in select spots.  I mounted the image on Avacado and Pure Poppy CS, the Distressed Dots DP and the Sugar Plum DP are both matted on Avacado CS.  Some Pure Poppy Twine (Thanks Crunchy) was wrapped around and a Pure Poppy button from the Buy Sell Trade thread finished it off.  Some more Bling in the corners and all pieces were given a strong super boost using Jody's Dimensionals, I tell ya these ROCK!!!!  Hold a LOT of weight, being red line adhesive...

OMG! Can you believe how YOUNG I was... it really doesn't seem all that long ago that this picture was taken yet, sitting here figuring it up it WAS... This picture was taken when I was in Kaiserslautern Germany in 1988-1989.  WOW Right???  22 years ago.

I gotta tell ya, I LOVED BEING IN THE MILITARY!  It was SO regimented, always knew what I was supposed to do and what was expected of me... I guess that fit in with my Black and White thoughts that I have... there is NO Gray in my world... sometimes not such a good thing but, then again...

Anyway, I thought I'd post this picture and give you all a good giggle!!!!

Christmas Cookin and what not

This week at MFT we are challenged to create something for cooking/kitchen items... I was inspired by Jody and her USING the Cinch... I have had mine for SOME TIME NOW.... SO... I pulled that sucker down and got to work... I didn't want a FULL Spiral look, so I just centered the Cosmo Cricket/Chipboard covers and went to work.  I used (ssshhhh, secret part here) works printer and printed off the MFT To Do List from last year and then photo copied it onto some Green paper we no longer use.  Cut it into equal pages and then punched holes in it... I used a dienamic that had yet to be used, although I DO love it... and made my page dividers.  I think that this one covers all the Holiday madness, Meals, Gifts, Cards and Thank you's!!!!  Yup, that about covers it.... Little Yellow Bicycle papers were used on the cover and for paper piecing the apron of the OH SO CUTE A La Mode.  Nesties for her, some Tiny Twinkles, cuz I gotta have my bling... the spiral notebook dienamic for that lil weight chart (back side of the pots and pans paper) YES! It's backwards, but play along with me people... I MEANT to do that **wink wink**
